Over 20 years ago, AAPICO Hitech Tooling established a niche, as one of the best and biggest designers and makers of low-volume, manually-operated Body Assembly Jigs in Asia. With support from our partners, global leaders in technology and automation, AAPICO is now able to provide customers with full turnkey Bodyshop solutions. We conduct assembly feasibility trials with customers, providing simultaneous engineering at part design stage, ensuring there will be no issues during launch. From concept to commissioning, our team has full capability to design, simulate, perform welding, ergonomics and takt time studies, and manufacture the tooling. All assembly trials and subsequent validation measurement can be conducted in our tryout facility prior to delivery.

We are able to provide solutions for complex and diverse volume scenarios:
  • Our flexible assembly designs minimise floor space requirements whilst increasing the ability to build different models in common cells.
  • Built Bodyshop Assembly Jigs for a single model, for up to 5 different countries almost simultaneously.
  • Designed, built and installed an automated assembly facility for 420,000 pick-up truck chassis frames per year.

Our CAD/CAM facility utilises the latest design, simulation & manufacturing software linking directly to our CNC machinery. In addition to a large, horizontal arm CMM, we have several portable measuring arms, and the first laser tracker in Thailand, for high-precision inspection. With a range of metrology software, we are able to meet all customers’ requirements, both in our inspection room, or on-site at the assembly location. The AAPICO installation and commissioning team has supported customer launches in South America, Africa, China, India and most of South East Asia. We are able to maintain global quality standards, whilst keeping our costs at a local level, making us very price-competitive.
